## Who I am

Independent platform and data engineer based in Netherlands (PR).
Project-based freelance, no retainers. 8+ years building enterprise-scale
datalakes (500TB–1PB) across AWS (deepest), Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and GCP.
Currently focused on AI-augmented engineering practice.

## What I do

- Datalake / Lakehouse architecture (Medallion, Unity Catalog, Iceberg, Snowflake)
- Idempotent, config-driven ETL pipelines that survive replays, late data, and timezone edge cases
- 100% Infrastructure-as-Code platforms (Terraform, AWS CDK, CDKTF)
- CDC ingestion (DMS-based and stream-based)
- Cross-cloud data architecture (AWS + Azure + Alibaba Cloud + GCP)
- Real-time and event-driven serverless data pipelines
- AI-augmented engineering practice (custom agents, harness engineering)

## Projects I take on

- One-time advisor on data or AI projects — short engagements ending in a clear recommendation plus enough work to de-risk it
- Delivering a finished, processed dataset — packaged data products the client owns outright
- Stalled platforms or hard migrations needing a sole hands-on lead
- DApp / smart-contract work with a real product on the other end
- Hackathon collaboration — short, high-intensity team work on a concrete deliverable
- Fractional technical leadership on data / platform initiatives

## Projects I avoid

- Electricity or energy trading work (existing client conflict — firm, not negotiable)
- More than two onsite days a week as a regular cadence (kickoff trips and workshops are fine)
- Retainers / always-on availability arrangements
